Learn about the philosophy of nonviolence and tools for deescalating harassment and dealing with the intense racism and Islamophobia that has been given new permission to be open. Participants will practice together to build confidence in responding to threatening situations.

This Bystander Training workshop will be given by Martha Yager, Program Coordinator, American Friends Service Committee- South East New England. Grounded in nonviolence, there are things we can do to intervene, to deescalate a situation, or to counter the harm with kindness and presence.
