Community Conversations: Climate Change

  • Cape Cod Beer 1336 Phinney's Lane Barnstable, MA (map)

Join us for a beer and a down-to-earth Community Conversation about Climate Change: what is it and how to talk about it, how it is affecting Cape Cod, and what you can do about it.

Amy Fleischer is a climate change educator and Nauset Middle School science teacher and will explain the ins and outs of climate change in an easy to understand way.

Cally Harper is a biologist who is dedicated to helping towns on Cape Cod prepare for the impacts of extreme weather and climate change.

Chris Powicki is an expert in the energy industry and renewable energy advocate and climate activist, and will talk about what the Cape is already doing to change its energy portfolio.

We will then have a discussion about what we as citizens of Cape Cod, the United States, and the world can do to combat climate change.

Child care will be provided.
